I caught a 20in, 4# wiper last wednesday on a white zonker and type II line, 50 ft out and trolling. nearly pulled me around the lake. Never caught a smallie there though.
Yesterday AM at Mantua. Nothing happening.

Looks like that was a pre-alias post T4X, or maybe he just forgot which name he was logged in under, sometimes I do that...........

I fished Mantua on Tuesday the 6th. As with 1fly, there was nothing happening for me. I fished by the inlet and by the boat ramp for 3 hours with no success. I could not believe it. I used a clear camo intermediate and fished in the shallows. There was, however, a guy in a motor boat who caught a few with lures. I watched a guy who was fishing with worms off of the dike. When a fish and game officer drove by, the man started reeling his worm in like a lure. The officer got out and checked the man's gear, but I guess he did a good job of hiding the bait because the officer didn't give him a ticket. Is there no justice in the fishing world?? Oh well, no use getting angry about it.

What post? You will find yourself replying to posts you thought you read and then you will realize that you were making it up a few days later. It is ok.
