Where is the best place to buy hooks in quantitys. I am tired of paying 4.50 for a 25 pack of hooks. I was thinking of maybe finding some packs of like 1000 hooks and splitting the costs with some friends and dividing them up.

Try Hook & Hackle Co. I think their web site is "www.hookhack.com".
But check their prices against shipping costs and waiting a few days.
I too have a problem with the marketing scam of smaller quantity packaging.
Locally try Sportsman's. I feel their pricing policy is to keep you as a customer for a long time.

Check out EBAY. I buy a lot of hooks on the auction site.

ABI hooks at flydesk.com are great and in packs of 100 are $6.98.

Check eBay. A seller is currently offering 600 Tiemco hooks in sizes 10 - 20. Right now bidding is at around 7 cents a hook, not bad for Tiemco hooks!
