Any of you guys care to report on the stillwater fishing of late?(Daniel's, Mantua, Scofield, Strawberry) If you don't want to post, shoot me an e-mail. Thanks.

you should book a trip to Deseret....

And, go to the gym a few times to prepare yourself.

Hi,

Just found your site and registered. Saw all this good information and thought I better contribute something. Here goes....

Broke out the kickboats and hit Scofield on Monday 4-28 in the AM. Ice was completely gone. The water was very merky/dirty. The wind blew hard most of the time. The only success was on black and dark brown wooleys. All were small rainbows(14"). We were worn out by noon and headed for home.

We only saw one group of 'baiters' catch anything and they were hauling em in. We heard em tell someone that they were using egg sacks. Between the 3 of them they must have brought in 25-30 fish. I never saw them release a one. We reported them to the state park folks but I'm not sure anything happened.

There is plenty of open water up at Strawberry. I was up there Sunday. I fished from the shore for a few hours and caught a few fish on a white zonker. Go for it! It's ice off--could be red hot and it could be not. Only one way to know for sure. I wish I could go.
