I spent the afternoon fishing below the Smith and Moorehouse reservoir today. It was the first time I have been there. Nice area with lots of small but colorful trout. I was just curious if other people here like to fish the Weber here or the lake. It is almost all private property, but it looks like there might be some public property besides the campground area just below the reservoir. I'm not sure, though. The river really gets going there. It looks like great fishing for bigger trout than more upstream. I didn't drive above the reservoir. It could be really nice up there, too and should be public property.
I'm also wondering what kind of trout these little guys are. I took a few pictures and will probably post a link to a picture later. They have vertical markings and an orange stomach. Pretty fish.
BTW, there was no open water on the lake itself. There is a fair amount of snow around and it was snowing while I was there.
