I havne't spent much time on the South Slope of the Uintah's. I have fished the Strawberry River and the Duschene Rivers is all.
The ones I am most curious about are Rock Creek, Lake Fork, and the Yellowstone River. I would love to hear any info you guys have on these streams. They are all with in a 2 hour drive for me so it's not that far to go and fish for a day. Please reply here of drop mean e-mail at crimedog@sfcn.org Thanks for the info.
Rock Creek is 160 miles from my house in east Salt Lake, but if you can get there in under 2 hours from Spanish Fork, more power to ya! Personally, I wouldn't drive all the way out there for just one day on any of those streams. Just my 2cents.

Right now I don't think the lakes are tubeable. The creeks are probably running a bit of water but last fall Lake Fork was dry, Yellowstone was to low to fish and Rock creek was holding its own but nothing spectacular.

It probably wouldn't be for a few more weeks. It's just something I have been thinking about. not sure when. It's just the time of year I start thinking about when and where I am going to go on little fishing trips for the weekend.
If you're going out there, I would suggest taking the time to hike above either Upper Stillwater, or Moon Lake, to fish the freestone reaches of these streams. Very often you will find more water above these reservoirs in the summer. The fish won't be as big, but the Lake Fork and Rock Creek canyons are spectacular, and dry flies kill 'em all day, any day...
Cheers
