Porcupine used to be my favorite place to fish (before they drained it). Has anyone fished it, or the Little Bear right below it, recently. If so, how did it fish. I used to kill them with a casting rod and a 1" silver spoon (shame on me), but I have never done great while flyfishing. Any info would be great. Thanks.

I also used to do very well there- I would bet the river below isn't getting much water yet- and the lake should be starting to get off colored- could be wrong on both accounts- I have done well below on small cutts- Porcupine was one of the ?'s I would like to ask about tonight at the CVA meeting.

Keep me posted on any info you get at the CVA meeting tonight, if you can go. It is my anniversary. So in order to procure further fishing outings, I'm going to take my wife out. Duty calls.

Copper John bring her to the meeting. Tell her you are taking her to a special place overlooking the river with candles ( I will provide). We will save you a seat by the window we can dim the lights as well to make it a little more romantic.

And tell her she will meet 2 real upstanding citizens of the community as well.

Thanks for the tips guys. However, my wife is too much like the trout I cast to. Neither are easily fooled by what I have to offer them. Trout4x, is there a CVA meeting every month?

CJ- figure out how to fish for Kokanee with a fly rod. Doesn't sound like Porcupine is on the priority list- going to get it's stock of planter bows and thats about it-
I know how you fish the porcupine!!! Does state van lined with fishing rods and weatherization tools sound familiar...how about that day when biggie rat took off and you were wet to your chest! I could go on but I promised "the fishing crew" I'd go easy on ya!

The Rat deal had nothing to do with that crew- way b4 those days and I never and I mean never participated in that stuff with them- now there were some other things that might have happened but never did fishing play any role in any of it- I didn't go on those long haul deals with them- they didn't like working with me- I was under the impression that we were there to work- obviously a misconception on my part. (0: And your boss- if he thinks back that far can colaborate that- though that Rat deal is a true story.
And....boss is sick again today. I'll have to dig a little deeper and make sure this "no fish involvement" plea is legit! I love holding juicy gossip for ransom :) Now that I know who you are (didn't get a chance to tease you last night in person) I may need your help in the future. The "boss" has been up to his usual dirty tricks lately and payback will soon be called for!! It was good to put a face with a name.
