Manti on Saturday

My brother and I will be in Manti on Saturday afternoon and want to fish some streams in the area. What are the fishable waters in the area. We are mostly interested in streams or rivers. Any help you could provide will be helpful.

There aren't alot of fishable streams in Manti. THe canyons all have streams but the fishing isn't that good yet. And some of the streams that are higher up aren't accessible. I would recomend taking your float tubes and going to Palisade.

Or drive the 45 minutes or so up over the top to Huntington Creek.

try the sanpitch ditch in Moroni, some huge browns in there. When you get there you'll think I'm crazy, the water looks like chocolate milk, but trust me! Throw some streamers. Other than that you'd have to move to high country and I'm sure there's still to much snow up there. Someone else who knows the area a little better might have more suggestions.

Huntington has about 6' of snow but fished spectacular this last Sunday. Most snow I have seen down there since 93, snowed all day Sunday and we fished up stairs all day.

Drive the extra hour to Richfield and I could take you to a couple of good streams in the area...I fished Clear Creek last Sunday and caught lots of fish!
