RS2 and/or emerger pattern querry

I found a pattern on line that said for the tail (of an rs2) to use a tail to match the body.

I am unable to make the leap to what material to use.

So here's my question...

What do you use for the body and the tail and the wing for an rs2 or other favorite emerger pattern if the rs2 is not your bug?

For the RS2, I'll just use gray superfine, no tail and turkey flats for the wing stub. Pretty simple and there are probably a zillion variations of the fly too.

I'm a Barr emerger man myself, though, so I don't go with RS2's a whole lot.

micro fibets make a good rs2 tail...i use a dun cdc puff for the wing

The reason the RS2 is a great pattern when tied with gray microfilbets, gray fine yarn and a small tuft of white behind the head is because it is an absolute dead-ringer for the beatis that is common to mountain waters.
