is the serendipity worth tying? wondering what kind of success people have had with it?

Sure it's a good pattern. I used to tie and fish that pattern in all different colors and sizes. Worked on the Green and the Provo just fine. In fact, one of my biggest Browns was taken on a red serendipity in Oregon a few years back.

I know I wouldn't head up to the bear around Grace without red and green #16 & 18's. Been a go to for me. I scoffed at first to a buddy a few years ago- A few days of him just hammering me changed that thought wave.

I used it in Olive and Grey last week on the Frying Pan. In sizes 18 and 20, I caught a lot of fish on it.
