I have a boss at work- he has given me a fly to duplicate-
it is a two- hooked fly- with about 2 1/2 inches between the two hooks and that section is covered by silver mylar tubing- years ago I messed with perch rigs using nylon coated wire - is this my best bet to attached the two hooks or is there something else out there that will not degrade over time- I guess he has this "one" fly for a few years and now is worried about losing it and not being able to replace it.

Sounds like it's time for a raise at work!

Hey, as long as you don't mind that sorta' raise!

Use braided trolling wire line and crimp it with the crimps designed for the trolling wire. I use this inside of lures that I make for wipers for the trailer hook and it works good. Let me know if it gets you the raise.

Greg at Western Rivers ties a streamer with two hooks. He uses heavy mono like you might use for the butt section of a fly line. Snells the lower hook and then ties in the other end to the first hook.

Mike- don't like the raise- but like the job- Fred- good thought wave- that would I think give more action to the fly than wire would- lt would let the back half swim- just thought of something- maybe use spiderwire for that.
