I will be horseback riding / fishing with some Scouts at Vernon this weekend. All that I've ever done there is wade in and strip a wooley bugger.

This should be my first experience on my own float tube on a still water. Any suggestions?

You should take a couple of different types of sinking line as well as floating. Try some CBS leeches. They always work in the spring (and pretty much any other time of year). With the mobility of a tube, you will be able to cover a lot more water, so you should catch more fish. Let us know how you do.

you might also want to take some cicadas or large cricket imitations...
i'm not sure how early the mormon crickets come out out there but last spring we did well with #4 cicadas...
just a thought...
