I was unable to make the tying demo at High Country on Saturday. How was it? Is there any more scheduled, and who is going to tie? Thanks for the help.

Apparently there are(see Wes Johnson post on "Favorite Hooks"). I too, would be interested in a schedule as I was free yesterday and could have come down.

Hi all,
I was at the demo at High Country Saturday and it was quite good. Paul Stimpson is definitly a skilled tyer that is not afraid to share some of his knowledge.
Yesterday, both Paul and his wife Shar(sp?) tyed patterns for us. They tyed thier personal favorite "Go-To" patterns and a good time was had by all. I would suggest to anybody that has the oppertunity to watch and listen as Paul ties to do so. I have seen him tie several times and I always learn something new!
Next week is a gentleman from DWR, (his name escapes me, sorry!) that is going to talk about some of the programs the DWR is working on or supporting. Paul said they would try to make time for questions and answers at the end. If anybody has questions, concerns, comments or opinions, here is your chance to voice them! Come out and speak for yourselves! See ya on Saturday!
Tight Lines and Iceless Guides, Bruce!
The gentleman from the DWR is probably Kent Sorenson (Sorno). He is over the Northern Region Fisheries. A great guy. Very informative and willing to listen.

Thanks RAW, I couldn't bring Kent's name out of the old memory banks. Hey has anybody seen my brain?
Later, Bruce.
I think you're concentrating on fly fishing too much Bruce, (or is that an oxymoron). I hear it does strange things to the brain. Nothing a doctor can do for it either. Water on the brain...water on the knee. You're either wading too deep or not deep enough. LOL.

RAW,
You missed some great tying by both Paul and Char.
I don't think it is an oxymoron; more like oxymormon. So much for bashing.
The Weber was slow today in the Uintah-South Weber area. Did see a few rises. The ice is breaking up. The water is not too cold, about 40F.
Some midges coming off when the sun shined. Found a great hole, will have to try it later on. I think it was Tom Lands favorite spot for big browns.
Different kind of BUG! I've been fighting somekind of crud lately. I've been flat on my back. Still congested. Wanted to get out and see the demo but with all the hacking and flu like symptoms I just felt awful. I'm ready for a different hatch and soon.

Hey RAW, Larry, et al.
This Saturday will be the last of the demos and meetings at High Country. The weather is getting warmer, and every one will be out fishing more often now. This will not exclude us from getting together on Saturdays before we head out to fish though. The demos will start up again next winter. Thanks for all your support.
Fish On All!

Anyone fishing after the demo, I never have fished the Weber and would be willing to hook up.

Please disreagard this link! This post is from last year and it looks like T4X is responsible for dredging it up!
I know there will be at least 2 more weeks and maybe more.
Later, Bruce.

It is my fault, I guess I will never use the search feature again unless I look at the year of the post.
I AM SORRY< I AM REALLY SORRY!
IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.
