trailing schuck

Yes a Stalcup schuck---- nifty stuff- expensive- at times it is the ticket- sometimes its not- sometimes tie it in a loop like its just breaking thru and not trailing yet. Had some great days with it.
But gentlemen- have you ever had that day where everytthing falls into place- you call the hatch b4 you get there- you wait because you know its going to happen and then it does- I had a weekend of it Sat and Sunday- absolutely incredible. Actually took a snooze Sunday cause I was early and my dog woke me up at about 2:45 and it was on again. I thought I was on the Green during an intense midge hatch---- better quit this year because it isn't going to get better than that. .

What hatch did you time and what were you using? Was it cold?

Midge hatch- 18# gray----- 3:00 P.M sunny - warm by northern Utah standards- maybe 10- but sunny enough that I took a snooze Sunday on the bank and was very comfortable. Just one of those days where I was lucky enough to be there at the right time and have the flies that I tied up after the card game Friday night - actually be the ticket and to have a dog smart enough to tell me that it was time to get up
