View Full Version : Hole in my Waders

I have a pair of Cabelas breathable waders that have sprung a small leak just above the point that the wader material connects to the neoprene bootie.

I need to know how to patch this? If the hole were in the neoprene there would be no problem, but I have never had to patch a hole in the breathable wader material.

Can I do this myself, or does it need to be done in a shop? If in a shop, what one?

Thanks,

Greg M

Aquaseal! If the hole is small, just cover it with some Aquaseal. It works great. Make sure you put it on the inside of the fabric, it will last longer if you do. You can get it at Fish Tech, or pretty much any other fishing store.

Thats the same advice I got from the Cabelas customer service site.

Orvis has breathable patches that iron right on and are way strong. I once ironed one to the ironing board to see just how strong and it wont come off now. I dont know if they sell them or not but I have a couple if they dont and would be glad to send you one. call them and if not, you can email me and I will send it out.
