Last year I bought an SAS 9' 5wt two-piece. I love this rod, it is light and responsive but tough enough to haul out a few very large suckers off the bottom of the weber river. This is a good middle-of-the-road price range but a very well built rod.

I concur with Graycliff. I have the exact same Scott SAS rod and it's an excellent, reasonably priced rod. The action on it is on the slower end of fast. It's definitely a good all around rod.
