I thought it would be nice to build a rod for my father in law for his b-day. I built him the cheapest cabelas rod I could find. for $51 I got the whole kit. I was skeptical at first, but when it arrived, I was very impressed. The conponenets were very nice. I was impressed with the action of the rod too. For anyone who is going to build their first rod, I would definately go with this one.
