Hey Larry S. is Bob Trowbridge doing a Fly tying class this fall? E-mail me if you know he is. Also, when is the next Cahe Anglers meeting. It's my duty to show up and bring the average age down a little bit. he he

Yes he will but not till after we get back from our guided trip up on Henry's Fork next month.
I have not talked to him today but will tomorrow. Can't beat his class for the price or knowledge.

As far as a club meeting I don't know yet but we was thinking of an end of summer outing somewhere.

Check your mail today for the yellow flier from the Logan City School Community Education.

Bob's class will start Tuesday September 17th at 7:00pm room S14 Logan High School.

I'm sure it will be in the HJ in the morning.

I hope there's enough interest. I signed up for the class last year and it got cancelled because only three signed up.

The ones in the winter usually fill up.

Met with Bob this morning in preparation for Henry's Fork trip this week. He said the class is a go. Right now there are enough signed up to hold a class and not so many as to make it crowded.

Ask lots of questions but take things as they go. Don't rush the class. It will all come together for you.

I need to buy me a kit. The tools and vise I was using last year were my older brother's and him and all his stuff are in Texas so I need to buy a kit. Larry, What would you reccomend for about $70-$80? What day does it start? I don't get paid until the 20th. I won't be able to buy myself a kit until then. If it starts before then I'll just wait and take his winter class.

Bob saw your post and called me with some info for you.

The class starts Tuesday Sept 17th, 7pm in room S14. That is downstairs in the photography classroom.

He also said not to worry about any tools until the 2nd class a week later but he or I could loan you some stuff to get you started if you wish.

The 1st week will be mostly orientation where he will explain what tools you will need and the understanding of hooks, hackle and other materials,etc.

Also, sometimes you can get discounts at local flyshops during the class but he can fill you in on that.
