This isn't really a report- well it is- but just want to let those that are thinking about going to wait until the water drops. Not that I didn't catch fish- just that it isn't as good as it will be- I fished with someone who floats it 3 times a week so it wasn't like I wasn't tuned into whats happening- when guides ask you how you are catching the fish you know its slow for the Fork. I did have my fish of the Summer- but 5x and a 3wt and a log jam changed that.

I think I understand what you are saying. I crossed it several times on my way to and from Livingston and it looks as though they are putting a lot of water down for the farmers to irrigate with. Maybe in another month.

We fished the snake from the canyon down to twin bridges this last weekend. The water is high, but the fish are still catchable. We didn't kill them by any means, but the trip was well worth it.

we fished above conant on the myriad of gravel bars across and just up from the falls. got started about 10am: caught a few on drowned caddis adults: stomach pump told me the PMD spinner fall must have been very good earlier.
very quiet day until about 3 to 4: micro PMD of about size 20 to 22: yellow to creme: size 18 was just too big!! got a couple on some creme midge patterns, but basically i got caught without a pattern that matched. and the fish rubbed it in.
also saw 7 moose including a yearling male that snuck up just behind me and let out a good snort. good thing waders are brown...........
