This is a 7" 9", 2wt blank designed for Light Lines.
I can not comment on the finished rod but the blank is just ideal for panfishing and for headwaters where casting room may be at a premium. Rivers up to the size and current speed of the Provo and Weber are easily handled.
It has a nice full flex action which I much prefer and is very accurate.
The 2 wt line I purchased from Orvis balances quite well with it and deliveries land like thistledown (if I do my part).
While not designed as a distance casting machine the rod will deliver out to 60' without going to a single or double haul.
The largest fish to date is a 17" Cutthroat landed without undo delay. The rod will certainly protect tippets down to 1.3 lbs (8x) which means you can do your finest work with this rig.
