We have a weekend trip planned for September 27-30 on the Henry's Fork near Island Park, Idaho. This will be no ordinary trip. We've made special lodging arrangements which everyone will be very pleased with. The cost will be $80 per person which includes 3 nights lodging in a luxury log cabin near Island Park, a steak dinner at the A-Bar Saturday night, and a 'Fly of the Week' donated by TroutHunter, Rene Harrop's fly shop in Island Park. We may also arrange a fly tying demo given by one of the famous local fly tyers in Island Park- TBD.

In addition to all this, we will be having a drawing for a canoe float trip through Harriman State Park. The canoe trip will be provided by an experienced Henry's Fork fly fisher who has fished the Fork for over 12 years. He will take you from Last Chance down through the park and do some fishing in some of the not so well known stretches. All in all, this is a trip that you should not miss.

The plan for the weekend is to of course fish like crazy. You can fish the Henry's Fork, the Madison, Henry's Lake, or any of the smaller waters in the area. Fishing conditons, hatches, and weather will most likely determine the best places to fish that weekend. Come prepared to fish different waters. At night we'll gather around and tell stories, have a few drinks, and tie flies.

Unfortunitely we have to limit the number of participants to 12 people. In order to reserve a spot, I will need to receive your money before September 12th. Please send me an email if you're planning on attending. BTW, here's the cabin we will be staying in.

Sounds like you have a great trip planned, and I'd be there in a second, but it just so happens, my wife is due that week. She lets me get away with a lot of things, but I don't think she would forgive me if I was fishing when I child was born. But if the baby comes early (cross your fingers), I'll be there. But I think you'll be having a great time without me.

I'm sorry to say that there has been a slight scheduling problem for our Henry's trip. We are unable to get the cabin for the original dates as planned which we had no control over. But, we have rescheduled the trip for Sept. 27-30 and our plans remain the same. The fishing might actually be better during this time which might be bonus. I've been told that fishing on the Madison can be epic for big browns coming up out of the Quake and Hegben lakes to spawn and the big rainbows follow them. Some huge fish can be caught to say the least. The Henry's will also fish well with Baetis and Midge hatches, including some streamer fishing.

I apologize to anyone that has made arrangements for the previous dates. I was bummed when I heard, but atleast the trip is still on. These dates might actually be better for some of you. So, we still have some spots open, so if you can make it please let me know.
