I have made numerous attempts in the past 5 months to make it up north to fish a river or stream and all have fallen through. I am going to attempt yet another time this next Saturday. (the 17th)

I was thinking of hitting the Provo River? Does anyone know what flies are working? What techniques?

Does anyone have a location that they think would be a better destination than the Provo?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I went to the Lower Provo Thursday morning and it was okay. Standard provo nymph rig caught some fish. Mercer micro mayfly seemed to work the best. RS2 also caught a few. There were very few risers and a real small midge hatch early (I started at 7:30). A few caddis and PMDs here and there. I left around 11:30.

There was a guy there that I talked to who was fishing a goddard caddis along the banks and said he was doing well.

I would either go there or right below Jordanelle dam. But, I wouldn't drive all the way up here from St. George to fish either of them. If you're going to be up here anyway, that's a different story.

My wife is a Bryan White fan so we are coming up to catch his concert. I figured I'll fish the next day since I'll be up that way...
