The Boulders are great but I usually try to hit them early in the year or later in the summer or early fall. June and September seem to be great. You have a multitude of options as far as where to fish though and I'm sure you can find fish now. Try night fishing for larger fish. The locals have their favorite lakes as do I and, like the locals, I'm not exactly fond of speaking their names in audible tones. Get a good map or guide book and you'll get good info. None of the lakes are secret or anything some just might contain beastly brookies and I'm not going to send a thousand people to any particular lake. I will tell a story though: One fine outing on a Boulder Mountain lake rewarded me and some friends with many nice 10 - 12 inch brookies all day. When night came, however, the average size jumped to about 16 inches. These were heavy fish too with the biggest seeming about 2 1/2 pounds and 17 or 18 inches. We couldn't see and didn't catch tons of fish at night but they were almost all very nice. Good luck if you go and nap in the afternoon so you can stay up late!
