I bought recently, on the advice of someone, a 6 foot 3 weight, WW Grigg rod. This thing cost me $29 at sportsmans warehouse and I thought, what the hell. Man, this rod is a blast. Is throws very nice, is well put together and feels great with a 10 ince rainbow on the end. It is not whippy like I thought it would be and has some back bone on it. Pretty much a dry fly only rod as I could really feel the difference when I tried to throw some weighted nymphs but then what did I expect. I would definately recommend for anyone with an extra $30 who wants a fun little rod.

Do you think this rod would be good for a kid, like a 9-year old?

I think it would be perfect. I am thinking about grabbing one for my daughter. She is 5 and could grow into it.
