I've been having a little more trouble than usual with static whenever I stack hair this winter. I heard somewhere that the antistatic things that are used in the dryer work wonders. Anyone had any experience using them? I'm going to try it.

Use a dryer sheet that has already been used for a load. This works great.

Also spray your hair with Static Guard before you cut and stack. You can find the small cans of the stuff at the check out counters at Wal-Mart and the large cans in your wife's laundry closet.
I have also used the used dryer sheet method.
Do you rub the hair-on-the-hide(before you cut it) with the dryer sheet ?

Rub the dryer sheet inside the hair stacker thoroughly. It really works good. No loose fibers getting stuck and uneven. It also helps to rub your fingers on the sheet as well. I haven't tried the Static Guard spray. Would the spray affect the hair in any way?

I picked that tip up from Al Beatty several years ago at a conclave. No, it doesn't hurt anything. Just spray it on lightly and set aside for a minute while you wrap your hook. I think Al also sells the small cans through his BT's Flies web site.

All the tips work great, used a dryer sheet --- no more static.
thanks
