Grey's River

Hey All,
I don't know much about the Grey's, but I'll be in the Palisades area next week and I've never been to this place... From the USGS site it looks like a good size river, flowing about 500 c.f.s. right now.

Questions:

1) Is there good access into the upper reaches?
2) Is it clear water with good riffle/run/pool structure, or is this a slow meandering silty river?

Any info on places/patterns/etc.. is highly appreciated, as I will be fishing with an "old school" fly fisherman whom I haven't fished with in years. I would like to show him some great fishing. I know other creeks in the Palisades area, but not this one...

I was there last week but discovered that fishing quality varies depending on your location on the river. Send me an email or post yours and I'll let you know what I discovered. Let's just say this is a fun river.
