Is renegade a place or the fly pattern?

If it is a place I never heard of it, if you are talking about the fly pattern I haven't used it in over 2 months, been fishing with hoppers a lot.

I'm referring to the bay at Strawberry. I went there last week and only managed to get a couple of bites. I don't think I got there early enough (on the water around 9am). When the storm front came in I only landed a chub.

This is the only fishery I have had spotty success with while fly fishing. While on other stillwaters I do fine. I would love to become more proficient at strawberry in general. I'm just not sure if I'm fishing in the wrong places at the wrong times, or using the wrong techniques.

I'm new to the board here, so I don't know if tips and tricks are discussed openly. That is why I posted my email address at the top. Some help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
