I think it is time we have another get together. What would it take to get one put together?

Didn't someone recently propose a get-together at one of the campgrounds in Big Cottonwood?

I don't recall seeing one, oh well guess I didn't make that one.

Yeah, let's have one in August, so I can make it. Not that the world revolves around me, but I would really like to meet the lot of you. I am going to be in for a couple of weeks. Anywhere where there is shade, fish, and food. Be good.

The 24th of August would be great for me, and I'd love to help get it together. Let's try to plan one where we can all head out and do a little fishing as well. I heard there was one at Mantua a while back. What would you think about doing one there again? Or is there a better place?
Everyone who would be interested in attending a UOTF barbeque reply and we can get one planned.
Looks like Trout4x and shazerblaze would be interested who else is

I would love to attend. Unfortunately I live in southern Utah County and Mantua is a half a day just to drive there. Maybe there is a more central location. Or maybe the majority of this site's members live in the Salt Lake and Ogden area.
Maybe I should just shutup now. I will be out of town that weekend (anneversery).

I would think that your wife would be thrilled to spend the day with a bunch of guys eating meat, drinking and fishing. Don't use the anniversary as an excuse LOL:):):)

Strawberry would be a nice place. I think still water is the best idea for a bigger group.
So far we then have interest from:

In my post I mentioned I was interested but I also mentioned I couldn't make it on that date. Just about any other date works.
Sorry

Be there .

I would be interested but the only way I could make it would be if it were in one of our So. Utah stillwaters. And that's not going to happen. Maybe next time.

That's too late for me, because I have to be in Phoenix by the 21st of August. So count me out for that date, but do have a good time.

Not that it revolves around you but what date would be good for you? August 10th?
Mr. Loopy, for the future what SO. Utah stillwaters would you recommend to hold a BBQ?

August 10th or 17th for me, if you are looking at Saturdays. Any day around those dates, but before the 17th is great. Thanks for asking. If it all works out for one of those days, I'm sure you could include Old Man too (I'd have to ask him, anyway). Anyhow, be good.

Trout 4x-
My favorite So. Utah stillwater is Kolob. But Minersville would be a closer choice for you Northerners.

August 10th would be great with me. Would anyone that has already said they would be interested in going be able to still go on the 10th?

I would like to come. I will talk to Old Man and see if he is up for it. We will probably head somewhere early that day for some fishing, but would love to come. What would be the projected time? Sounds good to me.

The 10th would work for me. What lake works best for everyone. The two we were talking about is either Mantua or Strawberry.
Everyone who can go the 10th of August post a reply and we can also decide where we want to hold it
Jason and Mike you two are the creators of this site it would be great if you could both be there, when would be good for you two? And where would you like to hold it?

I am willing to travel to The Berry, Jordanelle or Deer Creek
Need more confirmations as if the 10th is a conflict.

The 10th should work for me, I was planning going up to the Targhee Bluegrass Festival but tickets are getting a little steep. I'm looking forward to my first UTOF outing, I hope no one makes fun of me when they see my highly controversial around the back, double loop, with a lemon twist cast!

I am off on Saturdays so any one of them is good. Any lake will work also.
August 8,9,10 is the International Federation of Fly Fishers big conclave in Livingston, Montana.

We're currently trying to plan another UOTFly Fishing Day sometime in August. We're leaning towards Currant Creek Res. with the suggestion from Ed Kent. We'll post something as soon as it's final.
FWIW, I've heard some great reports about Currant Creek this year with some monster Cutts being caught. I really doubt we'll plan something for Strawberry this year. Jordanelle might be another good option.

Y'all have yourselves a big time on this one! I'd love to go and bring some groceries but unfortuneatly the 10th of Aug is my anniversary weekend. I'll be on the OR coast in Depoe Bay at a family reunion of sorts. Maybe next time around. I like the S Utah idea. That would be cool for next time around.
Hey Ichthy - You might want to check into Hailey, ID on the 2nd of Aug for the Northern Rockies Folk Festival. Went there a few years ago and saw Robert Earl Kean, Reckless Kelly and several others. This year Reckless is headlining it. Lots of fun and not steep $ like Telluride, Targhee, etc.

Sounds good Jason
We'll just wait then until you set a date and a place, then we'll plan on it.

Just so you know August 17th will be a bad time for a lot of people.
I will wait till you have it planned.

We don't want to rain down on your parade and plan something over your trip. We'll probably do something on Aug 10th or 24th. It will either be Currant Creek or Jordanelle. I'll post something as soon as we decide. We should have the new hats by then as well.

So does that mean we will all be meeting together -- combine the two parties and fun. I'm up for wherever. Current Creek does sound great -- river or reservoir. Let us know. I'm going to talk to Old Man tonight and see if he is up for it too. Be good.

That is right, the one that Jason plans will be the only one, so we will wait and support him on this one.
