I posted a request on the site yesterday and I now need to do it again. Can anyone tell me about the stream in the right fork of Provo Canyon? I think there are fish but I need to see if someone can tell me I am right or wrong. If there are fish how far into the canyon can you find them. I am going up the canyon a ways and wanted to know if I whould take my flyrod and equipment. I would appreciate any info you might be able to give me. Thanks in advance

South Fork has fish in it. Little browns.

Doug I was asking about the right fork of the canyon not the river. The right fork goes in a southeasterly direction right at Vivian Park. I ahve never fished it and wanted to know about it and I did get a good answer.

GO up about a mile or so past the first group of cabins and there are some parking spots there, there a several nice pools in that area where you will see fish.

I wish I could give you better info on this stream. I fished it regularly when I lived there.
There is a lot of private land in that canyon, thats why the lack of responses.
(I'm not current on knowledge...maybe things have changed?)
I liked to fish it in the fall, there was a decent migration of better fish in the fall.
Otherwise, as Jason B. said...mostly smaller fish with the biggest going 10" or so.
Good water for the small and tight rigs.
I generally had fun, but trespass issues weren't so uptight back then.
I liked the North Fork better, because of access, and similarly sized fish.

Old Man,
The right fork that you refer to is South Fork. There are places that you can access and many more that you can't without landowner permission. There are browns and some rainbows that have been planted. Small stream fishing all the way.
Provo City also has several parks in the canyon that you can access the stream from.
Landowners from the top below the Girl Scout camp are the Ercanbracks, Conrads (two cousins), Giles and other's I'm not sure of.
