I have both a 2 piece 3 weight and a 7 piece 5 weight. Both fish very well, and as stated in several other threads. This 3 Weight will land 17" rainbows without any problems. Have actually landed several in the 20+ range. But it was a heart attack type of catch. I knew it was going to break the rod, but it held out great! The 7 piece broke on me once, and sent it back. They were a little slow in getting it back to me. And they charge me $30.00 to get it fixed. That pissed me off, considering they have a lifetime guarantee. They said they would determine if it was abused.? One large fish did it in! Haven't heard back as to why they charged me the $30.00 dollars... Anyway it is a great casting rod and very well balanced. Other then the service and guarantee, I would say it was a great rod!
