I've had a few emails lately from some of you guys who sound just about as anxious as I am to get back on the Berry. If we're lucky, in 3 months or less we'll be back on open water.
Last spring, just as the ice was opening on Indian Creek bay, I was fortunate to be there when the fishing was absolutely phenomenal. Two older retired gentlemen and I had one side of the small open pond of water to ourselves and in just a few hours we each caught and released over 50 fish, including some really nice Bows (where is the darn camera when you need it???).
Anyway, since the autumn UOTF Strawberry outing was so much fun (thanks Ed) I'm proposing that we start now to plan for a spring outing. I think we would want to wait until the parking lot at Renegade bay is open, and by then it will be just a bit warmer as well, probably in mid to late April. A hamburger barbecue with all of the other good stuff sounds like fun again.
Anyone interested???
