First day out here in WA hit the Tacoma Narrows of the Puget Sound for sea run cutts. Spent some time flailing around in the water with what seemed like a small something going after my large streamers. Sure enough after plenty of missed strikes I landed my first giant 8 inch sea run cutt. I thought that a fish that lives in the ocean must be big to get away from all of the other big fish, but I guess not. The next day I hit up one of the local streams. They are all pretty blown out right now but I managed a few bows. Perfect quick get away from seattle for those in the area (Cheech). Beautiful crystal clear water with huge deep pools. Nothing spectacular though. Next week I will be staying in the San Juan Islands and there are two lakes, one with trout and one with bass. Hopefully my success there with my a bit better. I may not be catching monsters but last night I had a raw oyster/fresh sockeye/ fresh halibut feast, leftovers here I come!!!!!

I've been traveling since May. I've so far hit in CO the Taylor, Big Thompson, Poudre, S Boulder Cr, some alpine lakes, now here in WA the Sound, the Snoqualmie, and soon some private lakes then its off to OR, back to CO and hopefully this fall I will be Salmon fishing around the Great Lakes. I'll keep ya posted.
