Okay, I might be going a little off subject here, but I think conservation is a pretty broad subject. Simply put I love to fly fish, especially fly fishing in the backcountry. There is nothing that I love more then a week in the backcountry of the Uintas. And when it comes to the Wind Rivers I can't think of a place I would rather be but there. I usually take a couple of trips to these places each summer and love life to the fullest when I do.

But my question is, what is it that I (or we) can do to preserve these places. I mean when I go I always seem to live by the "leave no trace" theme, and usually end up caring out more garbage out then I brought in, but is there something more I can be doing? Not to say picking up garbage is something that isn't helpful, because it is, and I am very grateful to everyone that does do it when they are in the backcountry, or on there favorite river.

I look at how fishing has changed in these places through the last 20-50 years and think that if these changes continue who knows what might happen to these precious fisheries. What I am trying to get at is I am a 19-year-old guy that has hopefully a lifetime worth of fishing left ahead, and wonder what I can do to help conserve what fisheries we have now so that future generations can have as much fun as I have fishing them.
