This is one of the funnest rods I've ever fished. 7' 4.5 flex rating (which is a slow action rod). Used a Wulff TT line on a Hardy RLH, which is a little large for it but it works great, and what a rush. It has the balls to pull in a 17" bow with no problem, and a 3" perch feels huge. I think this is a first generation graphite that Orvis still has around. If you get a chance to fish it- do so. If I fish with any of you, you're more than welcome to enjoy it also. (For a little while anyway- you gots to give it back).
Cork band reel seat and super fine grip..... Doesn't get any better than this.

My "Weenie Noodle".....Orvis "One Ouncer" 6'6" 2 wt.
Slow as sin, and total parabolic action....right through the handle.
Pre # rating system. Very similar to the action of cane.
I generally fish a #3 line with it because sometimes a long cast for me is 9' of leader with the knot at the tip top.
I used it to fish streamers once, and hooked a monster in excess of 24"....Bad mistake! ZIP upstream between my legs and into the willow roots... :(
Home Creek destroyed the cork handle, so I rebuilt that end with a Struble Silver sliding band w/ Teak seat. SWEET.
Home Creek still eats at this as well, aint it a 8itch! ;)
I know what you're talking about on those mini rods! Totally addicting!
They will make you do silly things.
I actually find it easier to cast ~reasonable~ distances with these micro weight lines in the wind, because they have less profile for windage.
Try to cast this one at the shops. Really fun.
This thing is deadly accurate in the brush, and will roll cast 50 ft EASY. Unbelievable little rods!
