I went to currant creek for the first time ever on Saturday. I am teaching one of my sons to fly fish and it seemed like a good place to learn. I haven't been fly fishing for years myself and so I am brushing up on my skills too. We fished below the dam but we drove around the resevoir first and talked with a guy who had been fishing right at the spillway that comes in from low pass creek. There were a lot of people standing shoulder to shoulder at the spillway. One of them was walking away from the spillway area and had 6 good sized fish on a stringer and a fly rod in his hand. The streams that flow out of and into this resevior are artificial only but the resevoir itself can be bait fished is my understaniding. But he had a fly rod and some big fish. Has anyone fished in this spot on currant creek with a fly and had success. What do you think he was using?
