Guys, I will be getting home from the Middle East (I've been deployed since May) in September and I am itching to get a trip down the Green sometime the week of the 22 of September. I will be going with a friend who has never fished the Green, and as of now, he's checking with Western Rivers and Trout Creek Flies.
I know there are a couple of folks here on UOTF that do some guiding. I would be interested in seeing if any of you have that week open and would mind guiding two lost souls for a day. That is provided that said friend hasn't already procurred guide services. Please e-mail me at: craigwjen@gimail.af.mil Your time is very much appreciated.

You should look up Charlie Card. I'm pretty sure he guides for flaming gorge lodge. Great guy, and one of the very best guides on the river. He is a ninja on the oars, in fact, I'm pretty sure he could take on a pack of angry ninjas with an oar in one hand and the other hand behind his back;)

I think Charlie guides for Spinner Fall. Great suggestion. Two more names to ask for are Boomer and Gene who guide for Denny @ GRO (435- 885-3355). They guided my father in law and I over the last few days out there and completely rocked. Even if your friend has already booked a trip you can still request one of these names. A guide can be the bonus or bane of your float trip so choose carefully.

Gentlemen and young Cort, many thanks for your suggestions. I'll get on this as soon as I can. In almost four months, it has rained zero times, the sand is in everything, the wind blows constantly, and temps have hovered around 119 lately. A trip down the Green is just the tonic to rejuvinate this soul. I most certainly hope that I get the priveledge of meeting some of you guys at some point in the near future.
The privilege would be all ours. Thanks for what you do!
Aye, thanks for what you doing.

Gordon Tharrett is with Denny Breer's outfit and did a great job for us earlier this year. I would reccommend him. Best of luck coming home Sir. Thanks for the time and sacrifice you put in for all of us over there. If you want to hook up and fish sometime, feel free to drop me a line through the site. I would be happy to take you to some of my favorite "out of the way" spots. Thanks again...

Ask for Cody banks at the resort. You wont meet a nicer guy, or have a better day, although charlie is a great guy too. Any of the guides that work for the resort will get you into numbers of fish. We've had heavy rain the last few days, which has put off the dry action, but nymphing is only going to get better as we get into sept, oct. Don't overlook chucking the meat either. Great way to get the big boys...

I guess both. Or there's two Charlie Cards. Either way you win big boy. It's your sandbox. Must feel good.

Interesting. It's either new or old. Why don't we both win. You don't have to leave the sandbox just because I'm throwing sand in your eyes.

So we agree that it's a sandbox to you. Excellent! With your posts and bs GW thread today you are obviously going outta yer way to prove who's back yard it's in. Cool. Point taken. I frankly wouldn't want to mess with something so dear and important to such a nitwit. My point is, it's not a contest to me. But I do I understand how some people just gotta have their power trip. And yes, I enjoy letting them have that bit of love. Like those folks we see sometimes behind glass or some counter who just have to assert dominance. Makes me feel like they're not getting respect in all the right places so they gotta get it some how. I just smile and take it. Maybe act a little hurt for sport. Then I think to myself "perhaps I'm saving their puppy from a beatin' or something later. Who knows."
I'm going to let that sink in for a minute.
Now, keeping with our agreed symbolism please remember that it's not a sandbox to everyone so we gotta share. Okay Clarkie? Some kids just want to chill, shoot the breeze and share some info. They grow up and therefore avoid areas where the spoiled fat kid in the corner redundantly keeps throwing sand around. So do you mind if I congratulate a friend or share something helpful with another member without the same ol' sand lobs? I like most of the guys here.
Cheers,
Bug

Charlie is technically working for spinnerfall, he is running sf stickers on his boat. But he is still doing all his trips with his clients for FGR. Calling TCF is never a bad idea we have a very good staff. And if you are feeling it ask for John Sparger, Me.
Myself and five other similar types fished with John for three days in June, we had a great time on the Green River...............
