I recently put together a fly pattern archive that anyone can contribute to. All you have to do is register and you get access to post patterns. It still needs a lot of work in the pattern department, but that can change with some help.

Hopefully in the future it will become a good database for fly patterns.

Check it out

Thanks

I am loving the site already. As soon as I grab a usb cord I will start throwing up streamers, and other patterns.

Nice work! I think this will be a killer resource for everyone. I'll try and get back on the vice and put up something worth people's while.

Yeah, I am digging that stuff. I have just been seeing what I can do with it, and I like the results so far. I am going to have to see what else they have.

Thanks for the intrest everyone. If you see anything that you would like to see there that isn't, or have any suggestions, just let me know.

Those patterns look great colby, nice work.

I first used Microsoft Access (database). Once I had all the information in, I took a screen shot of it and then just cropped and resized the screen shot image. Using this program was pretty time consuming so I then made them in Powerpoint which is faster and easier to add the info. Once again, just took a screen shot. Powerpoint actually works pretty good because you can get a bigger screen shot and the quality of images are better.

The key to doing it this way is to make sure you save the image at a high quality and keep your pixels above 720 (default save is 180, that is why some of them look grainy), took me awhile to figure out what was causing that. You probably knew that already though.
