I need a trolling motor

I just blew out my minn kota maxxum and am in need of a 30# thrust motor. Does anyone here have one that they are looking to get rid of for a decent price?

What happened to the motor? Was there anything you could have done to avoid the disaster? I have the same motor and think it is great but would like to avoid having it expire if possible.

I was trying to change the part that connects it to the actual boat. Mine broke. To do that, you need to disconnect the head from the shaft. As I was doing that, the arm fell out of the head, and ripped out all of the cables that attach to the speed control. It's toast. I contacted Minn Kota, hopefully they will pull through.
