View Full Version : Easter Idaho Fly Tying Expo

So I attended this year for the first time in a few years ( I used to attend every year when I lived there). It was a great time and I learned a lot like always. The fishing on the Henrys Fork was HOT and we had a great time. Who else attended the expo? Did you have a good experience as well? I know that there was a large group that participated in the fly tying contest but is there a fly tying expo for people in the area to attend? With all of the talent around here in Utah I would think that we could get quite a few great tiers together for a fun expo and provide information for flies and patterns for the area. We could all learn a lot and incorporate some fund raising for conservation in the area. This probably would take a lot of work to pull off and would be better to do in the winter when we have more time to tie. Let me know what everyone thinks and if it would be a good idea or not.

I was up at Idaho Falls this weekend and had a blast. Met some great people, made some new freinds, and saw some killer flies being tied. I'll try and post a few pics in the new few days.

I echo what Jas just said. Good times and great cause! We had a great time meeting with everyone. Also, Jason's bass bugs and Psuedo Hackles where a huge hit this year. I will post some pics shortly.

I like hummers.
Not sure what flavor of zingers but I vote yes.
I don't do well with vampires & I still don't understand how those corporate giants don't wilt when Jonescort holds his cross in their gaze.
