I took a break from tying trout flies and did a little work on an Atlantic salmon fly. The second photo is of the six different feathers I used for the wing. Now its back to tying some bwo’s, thanks for looking

Nicely done. I was looking at Fly Tier magazine yesterday and noted a nice piece about marrying feathers for salmon flies. Cool stuff.

That is superb, that is one aspect of fly tying i have never tried but i will now.
I watched a guy in the UK game fair tie a salmon fly (can't remember his name, french i think) they were truly works of art, in some cases taking 8 hours to tie!
Thanks for the inspiration

Thats a wall mounter. I am never more amazed by the talent in your steelhead flies. Keep them coming.

Beautiful fly Marty. Well done. I love the photo. Repeating what has been asked already, "Do you shadow box any of your stuff?" When you get your box done, take some photos. I would like to see it when you get a chance.
