I have an old pair of Caddis fins that are just the ones you slip on and tighten down with a shoe lace. I have never liked the shoe lace situation. It has always been kind of a pain to put on the fins and take them off.

So, I'm thinking about replacing my fins. Are there any suggestions as to what to get? I think that I would only spend about $50 at the most since these fins get the job done, I just don't love them. I'm not in the market for a $150 pair of fins, just want something that is durable, easy to put on and off, will get me around the lake in an efficient manner.....what you guys think?

Over 70 views and nobody has an opinion on the subject? What if I say that I'm going to go toss egg patterns on redds under a ballondicator? :)

I like my force fins. I bought them years ago so I don't know what they cost now, but I'd guess they're on the higher end of the spectrum. Ebay.

Well, I'd suggest using Blue eggs and target Rainbows... and heading to Landon's land o' spawner's ; )

I am not much of a stillwater guy but I have used the cheap pair with the red webbing strap (newer Caddis model?) and Force fins on the rivers. I like both. Force Fins are a bit expensive and on the heavier end of things but less effort for the same punch. Tooning the river I get out a ton so I prefer the cheap-o Caddis for easy on and off. If I was getting a pair for stillwater only I'd personally try and find an old pair of Brownings.

I use the fins from creek company. They are longer then the caddis fins and pack flat if you need to take them on a trip. I wouldn't use them on a river because of the extra length and the material being a little more rigid. I've used these for the last 5 yrs and if you hike with your tube at all you will like them. They can also be used for an internal frame on a pack too.

I got these last year and love them. Great because you can put them on and still walk just fine in them.

You know, I think we've got some old fins on clearance at Park's. I'll see what they are and how cheap they can be.

I went with force fins for one whole season and disliked them much I sold them at a very discounted price. Probably was just me but my manuverability went right in the toilet. Straight line speed was great but the rest of it sucked.
