Hi everyone. I am really new to the site. Just started. Hopefully I can get out and fish with some of you.
I just wanted to wish Skunkray a happy birthday. I met him a couple of weeks ago at a work thing his wife knows my wife or something. He is an awesome artist and works as an art director or something at a vehicle graphics company. We talked flyfishing for about a couple of hours. He invited me to stop by his house and tie a few with him. His tying table is in his studio so I got to tie a few and see his latest paintings. He does wildlife art in a variety of mediums. I asked him to do a trout for me. and suggested that he donate something to the upcoming fly tying expo. He is already working on one that he might want to donate. How would he go about donating to the expo?
The tying was fun. He ties almost as well as he paints.
I know that he lurks on this site every day and I just wanted to say hi and thanks for sharing his knowledge.
I think that he has a blog that he has some of his art on. I'll try to find out what it is.
Is a painting something that can be donated to the expo?
