I'm starting to dream up some patterns for early spring Lakers and Splakes... Mainly minnow patterns. Anybody out there that has a couple standby patterns that they would like to share?

I've caught splake on the old stand by: wooly bugger. Black, olive, and purple.

I thought you said "Whit Sex Dragon"......I was going to say....I've never caught a splake in my life!

I've never fished for splake or lakers, but am I wrong to assume they would eat similar to other lake-living trout?

Anyone know the world record for a Lake Trout taken on a fly rod?
