Went up on the SF today. 1st fish was a beautiful 20" cut second a big 20" bow. Lots of fish some on dries. Found an area where the rainbows were on the redds.
Anyway, took 3 rainbows home today. Rainbows are definitely on the spawn. Males are in full spawning colors and females are full of eggs. If anyone wants to come up and do their part in removing this nuisance species get a hold of me. I can give directions.... won't be available to fish until after next weekend (will be in Cancun), but I can give a heads up on where to go.

Hey, by the way, do you fish at all when you're in Cancun? I'll be there near the end of the month and have been tasked with figuring out if and where my brother and I can tie into some fish. Apparently the family has bought into a timeshare and I would really appreciate some first hand info.

maybe..... let me know what day. My new job has pretty flexible hours.
MvToro...
Sorry but I don't know anything about fishing in Cancun. I may go see the ruins at Tulum, and may go play some capoeira with the group at Playa, but outside of that I am all beach all the time.

Since there is only one South Fork, I assume you are talking about the one in Idaho?

I can't believe you'd do that, let alone take a picture!...
...you'll get a much more flavorful and moist fish if you cook it with the head on.

marinate in olive oil and stuff them with cilantro, garlic, onion and tomato. Does leaving the head on really make that much difference?
Anyone want to come up for the annual SF rainbow mothers day massacre?

The one and only SF should be at about level 10 flood stage by Mothers day. Should be some perfect fishing conditions.
