When Al Beaty (www.btsflyfishing.com) contacted me via email and asked if I would help him with some photo correction, I was not only honored but excited. This current assignment Al is working on is to shoot several of Dave Whitlock's flies for a book. He is trying to frame out a couple of the shots and was not to thrilled with his results.
He has agreed to let me show you my results:

I apologize for not being able to post them side by side. However the forum permissions only allow the user to img tag 1 per post. These photos had the exposure, contrast, brightness modified. Unsharp Mask was applied and the image was darkened. I thought I would share them with you.

Again, same techinques applied to the photograph. I hope these examples help you with photo correction. If you have any ideas or thoughts we can go over them in the class I will be involved with at the Utah Fly Fishing & Tying Expo in May. I would like those attending the class to email me a few photos that we can use as examples. I will post more details soon.
Thanks,
JayMorr
