View Full Version : Dolores River, below Mc Phee
Anyone been to this area recently?
I know it took a hit earlier in the 90s. I'm wondering if it has had any improvements in flows?
It would make for a great trip to hit here, and the Gunnison Black Cyn.

Hey Moke,
Try the Gunnison, I heard it was getting pretty good! Haven't fished it myself, but a relative does, and has been trying to get me there for years!

RAW,
You've been around the Indians to much. NO skinwalkers here! At least I hope not!
OK. You caught me. I got to stop reading those Tony Hillerman novels!
Walk with beauty

you are beautiful if you catch a trout

Moke, I just read the following article in the Denver paper:
http://www.insidedenver.com/drmn/recreation_columnists/article/0,1299,DRMN_85_1201040,00.html
Looks like their expecting another die off this summer because of low flows. Sure is a shame. I lived in Colorado Springs ten or twelve years ago and the this was one of my favorite places. The Black Canyon is always good if you're tough enough to get in and get out.

That has to be one of the most tormented bodies of water EVER!
Thanks for the sad update. ( really thanks! )
