Ok... I'm not even going to lie. I had a great tying session last night whilst listening to Ace of Base... After that, I put Send Me An Angel by Real Life on the repeat button. Visions of Crew doing the choreographed BMX dance helped me through dozens of X-Caddis.
With that, I leave you in peace.

Don't worry, I'm not that innocent.
Right behind Ace of Base, my fave tying album (can't say CD anymore. That's so old.) is Alice in Chains, Jar of Flies!!!!
Being new to tying, I don't like to have too many distractions, but what I do listen to:
Eric Clapton "Sessions for Robert Johnson"
Weezer "Weezer"
Eagle Eye Cherry "Desireless"
Good mix of moods there.

JayMorr,
Wow! I didn't think anyone had ever heard of that band. I saw them back in the late 80s at the Speedway Cafe. Also saw Ray (of today) Capo at some church near Taylorsville with his band Shelter. In fact, I think I went to about any similar band that would show up at the Speedway, the Painted Word, Fairgrounds, Bar&Grill and any other hole that Salt Lake County had to put on a show. Ziggy Marley did play at the triad center back in 88 and was it ever a hotbox. I also saw Jimmy Cliff and the triad center in 92. Do you remember when Brad had Raunch Records at Positively 4th Street? Maybe I saw you at one of those shows back at the Speedway in the 80s.

How do you sing along with Enya anyway? Isn't half of what she's singing in Kyrgykstani or whatever? I mean no disrespect. Any man who's mastered Kyrgyksani is aces in my book. Orinoco Flow FOREVER!!!
I once tied almost 100 sow bugs in one night all to a Jimmy Eat World cd on repeat. It was kind of an homage to them since they went to my highschool. That was the night I accidentally stabbed myself in the chest with one of those super-barbed dubbing teasers and had to cut it out of my pec with a scalpel. Good thing I have such solid, rippling pecs or I could have died with a dubbing teaser sticking out of my chest. In retrospect, that self-inflicted stabbing may not have been an accident at all. It may have been my subconcious screaming for me to stop tying the same fly over and over to the same music over and over (the kind that makes me mad at my dad... and I love my dad) until who knows how long into the night and morning.
In related news: it's 3am and I'm awake and typing on a flyfishing message board. Babies don't like you to sleep at night. They're sadistic that way.
