For those not following the FYAOP thread, I wanted to throw out an invite to anyone wanting to attend a free on-the-river midge clinic tomorrow morning at 10:00am.
This is a rather informal clinic Jason and I are doing and we will cover the following topics:
-- Midge life cycle and fly patterns for each midge stage
-- Rods, tippets and misc midging tools
-- Midge emerger and dry fly techniques (Curtis)
-- Midge & general nymphing techniques (Jason)
Since we're a bunch of non-social elistist snobs here at UOTF, it might not be that much fun, but anyone is welcome. We're no fishing superstars, but we've done a bit of midging over the years.
Here is the location: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=0&ie=UTF8&ll=40.558287,-111.431022&spn=0.006007,0.014269&t=h&z=17&om=1&msid=108396916241276370524.000442fc8cead5fa5ccb6&iwloc=000442fc90885753f582e
Bring a rod or not. Come and just hang, no biggie. It's all good.
