I just picked up this info :

Warning!
The water flow for the South Fork of the Snake River will be increased to around 14,000 - 15,000 cfs June 17 to 21. this will be for some kind of survey by the Bureau of Reclamation.

This in case some of you were thinking of travelling there.

Where is that and does it affect the Henry's Fork?

Fished the south fork last week, more specifically we floated from under the dam down to the sprink creek bridge.

Water is running quite high right now, but with the new flow set for the 21st it should blow it up for quite some time.

Fishing was slow, the anticipated Caddis hatch never materialized, some success with streamers fished close to the bank though.

This increase in flow will not affect the Henry's Fork. We did see some preliminary salmonflies but that should not come into full swing for another 3-4 weeks.

UPDATE! South Fork Warning

There is going to be a flow increase on the river

from June 17-21.

Flows will be around 14,000-15,000 cfs during this period.

The increase is in conjunction with a hyper-spectral imagery overflight analysis for the Biological Based Systems Management Study (BBSM) being conducted by the University of Montana and being sponsored by the Bureau of Reclamation.
