Some time ago there was a discussion regarding the scooter dude on the provo being an a-hole about people being on his property or near it. I was just curious because i am sure some of you out there golf as well.
Have you guys been harassed by any of the home owners that are across the street from Bountiful golf course in that circle for parking in the circle. Some assbag that lives in there thought he would try to be a tough guy to me and my buddies last night for sitting in the circle chatting it up.
Just curious if any of you have had any similar situations.

funny thing is most guys that live right on the golf course dont play golf... because golfers know what happens when you do. I would just hit golf balls at his house

so, the way I play hitting his house across the street wouldnt be out of the question. So why was he mad at you-- talking, drinking, staring at his daughter, laughing at his fat wife, or wives, the polyester suit he got from the DI that he was wearing to bishops meeting? What?

My buddy always parks there when we go golfing and we show up there last night and all of these signs say no golf course parking. So of course he thought I don't care its a street and he parked there anyway. We get done golfing and he had a parking ticket on his car. So I drove over to his car to inspect it and it looked real and this guy pulls up and stops and says so you got a ticket huh and starts laughing. You pull up to 3 29 year old smartass' and say something like that with a smirk you had better be ready in my opinion. So we have some exchanges of comments and finally I say why don't you just mosey on up the street and go home. So he jumps out of his car (he had his 10 year old boy in the car) and walks out with his chest out like he's some badass. He is maybe 6 feet 185 and sits there and tells us how its such an inconvenience for him to have us park there because it blocks his street. The irony of that statement was he had already pulled past both of our cars. Anyway he obviously realized at this point he was just irritating us and made the right decision to get back into his truck and head home.
I just don't get it why some people have to be such assholes when people are doing nothing to them. Poor little guy. I can't wait to park there again. Its on!!!!!!!!

Didnt you know, he lives up by the golf course in Bountiful-- he owns the world. i used to have to listen to this woman at work who would call companies and complain about stuff -- like the gas company-- and tell them that she lives in the most exclusive neighborhood in Logan (she and her husband had to work two jobs each) and boy did that piss me off when she was saying that. But then my neighbor down the street knocks his 600K house down with a bulldowzer and builds a 15M house (castle)-- so guess who gets to use that statement back at her now when she says stupid things. Best thing is I didnt have to move to be able to say it and I can still walk out the back door walk down the street and go fishing in the river.

I golf there all the time, and several times have had a typed up slip put under my wiper saying that I couldn't park there. There's never a number or name, the cowards. I also noticed that when I'm driving my beater car, I get the slip, but when I park a nicer car, nothing. Screw them. It beats parking on the boulevard and having dogs pee on my car. Even though, you gotta love that dog leg 18th hole with the waterfall.

I am not going to take sides on this one, because that’s what cops do, but I am sure there is more to your story that is not being told. Sound like there has been problems in the circle in the past to the point the home owner don’t want the public hanging out in front of their houses. If you and your buddies were to come up and park in front of my house I would come out to see why. Wright or wrong most people that own a house have an expectation of privacy and want to feel secure. It sound like you were in the wrong by parking in an area posted no parking. Why park there when you could have moved 200 yards and parked at the ball field. But then I forget with you young guns its all about you and who gives to what the other person might be feeling. I am sure the guy you had the confrontation with was thinking the same of you. I deal with ass holes every day and most of the time they are the ones that feel they are above the rules. Again not taking sides just looking at the facts.

Good objectional view marty however, my buddy was parked in front of a house that was being framed. And the kicker is it says no golf course parking so what if you are parking to go walking on the blvd??? Who's to say what someones reasons are for parking there.

Sounds like the home owners watch the location quite closely. It's not too difficult to see someone lugging a golf bag full of clubs out of his car. Doesn't this course have a parking lot? I would just avoid the issue, and park somewhere else. Yeah, I know, I'm becoming one of those old farts!

Framed house or not you were still golfing and parked. I grew up in that area and if I remember right the street is a private circle and we were the guys that drove them to posting it no parking. It was one of our drinking spots. We have the same kind of problem on a circle in PC. There is a trailhead at the top of the circle. Parking is a problem for the residence because it gets so bad people started to block driveways and park on landscape. It’s a city street so the public has the right to park on it, but because of constant complaints from the home owners it has been posted no parking. It only takes a few to ruin it for those that think before they do something that might affect someone else. The guy that confronted you more than likely an a-hole, money does that to some but he was in the right. I used to coach baseball at the fields next to #10. There were no speed bumps and you could park any where you want to hit balls east of the road. A lot has changed, now it’s such a pain who would even want to go up there. All the changes came from complaints and the squeaky wheel get the grease. You may not have thought you were causing any problems but in the eyes of the home owner you were. Just a question was anyone drinking.

Royal is there really a need to bash someone for their beliefs. Poor form.

Royal – it’s been dead around here lately, just trying to get one started. Haven’t seen a thread locked for months.

LOL, Honestly I have never considered bigger better but Ihave held my own plenty. S&P I try and stay away from your work. Especially considering that I have family that works with you and I have 3 kids.

I will always question whether it is worth it now that I have a family, (i have nothing to prove). Like I said, 1 minute of fun and knockin your ass out isnt worth the jail time or fine. After bouncing the last few years I am constantly watchin over my back when out in public with my family. I never know when some fool is gonna get all bravado and try and come at me from past altercations....

Chris you kill me.
DEEZ NUTZ!

I found this great way to deal with some of this stress you're all feelin'. It's kind of a new fangled thing and not everybody likes it, but it works for me. I tie a bunch of feathers onto a hook, tie the hook to some line, and cast into a stream. It does wonders- try it sometime. Golf will just disappoint (and apparently anger) you.

Oh, and if anyone takes this as a personal attack on them, no, I don't want to fight you. GO FISH.
