went to huntington w/ my buddy after work today. I have allways done pretty good their. But today the stream seemed murky and we didnt get a single hit. I was suprised to say the least any ideas on what would make the stream murky and the fish lazy?

Much to my displeasure I have not been to Huntington yet this year. But I would be interested in what you have reported. Here is some peculative thoughts. I don't know if you were on the right or left fork but the left fork is feed by Miller's flat, Mammmoth, Cleavland and I cannot remember the other small reservoir in that area. These are higher elavation but still rather shallow reservoirs and it has been a very warm summer. I suspect that the water is a little warmer than normal years and there might well be an algea bloom that could account for the off color. Electric Lake is a little deeper but I have seen a pretty good algea bloom there as well. We could only hope the off color came from rain but that is not very likely. Like I said, I would be interested in any good informatiion besides speculation.

I was up in Huntigton Creek July 10 and 11. the left fork was high and murky, the right fork was perfect. I was surprised at the high water on the left fork. They must have been messing with some of the reservoirs up stream. We left there and went up to Provo and found that the Bureau of Reclamation was dropping the level in Deer Creek Reservoir and put the Lower Provo in flood mode, making it difficult to fish.
Sheesh!

I was up there the following week (Wed, Thurs) and fished both forks, all I can say is it was one of the best days I have had this year. My friend said it was the best day he had all year, and it rained all night on Wednesday.
Yeah, I fished it the 22nd and it was good to go.
